北卡教堂山三所高中在东教堂山高中联合举办年度亚洲晚会

【华人头条南北卡罗莱纳实习记者Andrew Xu报道，摄影Andrew Xu, Ziyu He】4月12日晚，教堂山三所高中Chapel Hill High School, East Chapel Hill High School 以及 Carrboro High School 的亚洲太平洋裔学生会在 East Chapel Hill High School 联合举办了长达四小时的年度亚洲晚会 (Asian Night)。

本地数间亚洲餐厅提供晚餐，有煎饺、馕饼、炸菜饼、麻婆豆腐、甚至还有一篮旺旺仙贝。各国的特色风味摆满了整两排长台。

晚餐后的文艺表演由民族“时装秀”开幕，各校学生介绍亚洲各国及其传统服装，展现教堂山的多元化。三角区的各文化组织——有高中生、有大学生、还有儿童——带来了十多项节目：教堂山中文学校与FASCA的舞龙、北卡印度教协会与凯瑞Green Level High School学生的宝莱坞舞蹈、杜克“Temptasians“的华语与韩语的无伴奏合唱、RedApple中文学校小学生的武术兼舞蹈，等等。可容纳500人的礼堂座无虚席，现场气氛十分热烈！

该晚会由学生志愿者参与组织，意在通过各地美食与文艺表演展示亚洲文化，创建归属感。门票利润与募捐资金全部捐给OneSky Foundation，这是一个支助亚洲孤儿的组织。

Chapel Hill high schoolers jointly host annual cultural showcase "Asian Night"

[Chinese Headlines Andrew Xu reports; Andrew Xu, Ziyu He photography] April 12 evening, Chapel Hill High School’s Asian Student Association, East Chapel Hill High School’s Asian Pacific American Club, and Carrboro High School’s AAPI Student Coalition jointly held their annual Asian Night at East Chapel Hill High School, lasting four hours.

Several Asian restaurants provided food following dinner: fried dumplings, naan bread, kimchi pancakes, mapo tofu, cold noodles, and more. Delicacies from across the continent filled the two long tables.

The cultural performances opened with a fashion show, during which students introduced the nations they represented and displayed traditional garments, showing off Chapel Hill’s ethnic diversity. Various cultural organizations brought to the stage performances in music and dance: Chapel Hill Chinese School’s and FASCA’s dragon dances, Hindu Society of NC’s volunteers’ and Green Level High School students’ Bollywood dances, the Duke “Temptasian” group’s Chinese and Korean acapella arrangements, the RedApple Chinese school’s kids’ dances fused with Chinese martial arts, and so on. The auditorium was packed with over 500 guests, cheering for every show with enthusiasm and excitement.

The event, organized by student volunteers, showcases Asian culture through cuisine and performances. Ticket proceeds were donated to the OneSky Foundation, an organization dedicated to aiding orphans across Asia.
